Turn your radio dial to 99.5, WGBH's all-classical station, to hear members of Senior PALS on National Pubic Radio's "From the Top," on Saturday, November 20, at 11 a.m. and on Sunday, November 21, at 5 p.m.

In case you are not in the Boston area, the show will be broadcast the week starting November 15 on NPR stations nationally, as well as via the From the Top website: http://www.fromthetop.org/

The episode was hosted by Christopher O'Reilly and taped  before a live audience at New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall on Sunday, October 24. Artistic Director Alysoun Kegel led PALS in outstanding performances of "Who is the East" (based on text by Emily Dickenson) by 13-year-old composer and PALS member Eleanor Bragg, as well as "Singing this Piece," by Bruce Adolphe.  "Singing This Piece" is a humorous exploration of what might go on in a singer's mind when performing as part of a chorus, and the performance included dramatic solos by Brittany Shelton and Emy Metzger.

In between the two pieces, Eleanor was interviewed about her inspiration as a composer, and PALS members Emy Metzger and Nina Cummins spoke with eloquence and humor about the joy of performing music composed by  their fellow chorister and friend.

You don't want to miss this very special performance, so please tune in!
